Womxn of Color Initiative

The Womxn of Color Initiative (WOCI) advocates for and organizes events to support and engage academic and professional graduate student women of color. WOCI also helps coordinate the annual Empowering Womxn of Color Conference (EWOCC). EWOCC aims to strengthen networks among individuals who identify as women of color and seeks to embrace folks of diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds, generations, sexual orientations, nationality, and physical abilities both in and outside of the academy.

About the GA

The Graduate Assembly is the official representative body of the graduate and professional students at the University of California, Berkeley. The fundamental principles of the Graduate Assembly are the promotion of a vibrant student social life, inclusiveness, activism, community service, educational improvement, and professional development. In service to these principles the Graduate Assembly advocates for students, funds student groups on campus, and directly manages a variety of projects.
