Types of Funding Awards:

A. Graduate Events: provides funding for meetings and events of a graduate student group.

B. Group Resources: provides funding for the general operations of a graduate student group.

C. Grants: provides additional funding for larger projects in the areas of Student Activism, Campus Diversity, Community Service, and Educational Improvement.

D. Travel Award: provides travel funding for graduate students presenting at a conference outside of the Bay Area (both nationally and internationally).

BEFORE YOU CAN SUBMIT A FUNDING APPLICATION YOU MUST ATTEND A GA FUNDING WORKSHOP (except the Travel Award)

When can we apply for Graduate Events Funding?
There are Four (4) Rounds of Graduate Events funding per year. Review the semester deadlines and timelines for each Round. Unless otherwise noted, all applications are due before 5pm on deadline dates.

B. Group Resources: Provides funding for the general operations of a graduate student group.

When can we apply for Group Resources Funding?
There are Two (2) Rounds of Group Resources funding per year. Review the semester deadlines and timelines for each Round.

Applications are due before *5pm on deadline dates.

C. GRANT APPLICATIONS: Provides funding for student activism, campus diversity, community service, and educational improvement projects.

Deadlines And Duration of Projects
Projects can be funded for an entire year or semester. Applications are due before 5pm on the deadline dates.  Limit of 1 grant project per academic year.

FALL SEMESTER RECEIPT DEADLINE: December 7th, 2009 -Fall 2009 Projects are defined as projects taking place between the dates of 10/10/09 through 12/4/09.  Receipts are due no later than 30 days after the event or 12/7/09 (whichever is first).  Receipts submitted after 12/7/09 for Fall 2009 projects will not be reimbursed.

SPRING SEMESTER RECEIPT DEADLINE: May 10th, 2010 -Spring 2010 Projects are defined as projects taking place between the dates of 12/5/09 through 5/7/10. Receipts are due no later than 30 days after the event or 5/10/10 (whichever is first).

D. Travel Award: provides travel funding for graduate students presenting at a conference outside of the Bay Area (both nationally and internationally). The Travel Award is the only funding category where a funding workshop is NOT required to apply for GA funds.
